Eureka Growth Capital Raises $130 Million for its Second Fund

March 1, 2007 -
Eureka Growth Capital Management, L.P. (“Eureka”) today announced the final closing of Eureka II, L.P. (“Fund II”) at its hard cap of $130 million in aggregate commitments. Eureka had targeted $100 million for Fund II as a follow-on to its $85 million Eureka I, L.P. (“Fund I”) to continue to pursue small buyouts and growth equity investments in partnership with management of companies with $10 million to $75 million in revenue.
“We are obviously pleased to be oversubscribed on the offering, but more significant is the quality of the investors we’re partnering with in Fund II,” stated Chris Hanssens, Managing Partner of Eureka Growth Capital. “A number of leading institutional investors responded positively to both the opportunity and our performance at the smaller end of the market, which will remain underserved as fund sizes continue to grow. With institutional investors providing more than 90% of Fund II’s limited partner commitments, we have a solid foundation to support the successful execution of our strategy over the long term.”
In addition to its fundraising efforts, Eureka closed three new acquisitions in 2006, investing nearly $20 million of Fund II’s committed capital, and exited four more Fund I investments, bringing total Fund I realizations to eleven of sixteen deals.
